Key Requirements
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets including a delivery pathway with agreement from program streams to ensure that the Program implementation is on track, in scope and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain productive and influential working relationships with a range of key stakeholders including internal clients across the ACT public service and senior executives.
  • Engage Procurement ACT staff, ensuring that team members are fully informed and engaged as part of a collaborative one-team approach and work effectively and collaboratively to achieve the program objectives and vision.
  • Leverage knowledge of procurement services and ACTPS Frameworks to build on existing plans and strategies ensuring delivery pathways for streams are implemented and aligned to the Procurement Reform Program.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Procurement ACT, Workforce and Information Services, the Procurement Reform Implementation Working Group, and the Procurement Reform Steering Committee to deliver and embeds the Program.
  • Work hand in hand with Procurement ACT and the broader ACTPS; taking them through the steps of change to successfully embed the Program.
  • Represent Procurement ACT in a range of meetings and forums.
  • Show leadership by modelling and fostering professionalism, accountability and ethical behaviour, including regular reporting to Executives.
 
Key Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in delivering complex projects/Programs.
  • Excellent skills in planning, leading and co-ordinating activities to manage and implement a program from initiation to final transition into operational, business-as-usual management.
  • Knowledge of, or aptitude to understand, Government procurement regulation, governance and processes.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written) including effective representation skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent strategic, conceptual and analytical skills, and the ability to make sound judgements on sensitive and complex areas.
  • Certification in Project Management and/or equivalent to a Cert IV or Diploma in program and project management preferred.
